What snow removal in Mississauga has to cover

Much of Mississauga was built out from the 1960s on around wide crescents and arterial roads, so the typical residential job is a double-width driveway, an apron meeting a municipal sidewalk and a walkway to the door, with corner lots in Erin Mills or Churchill Meadows carrying sidewalk on two sides.

The lakefront and older neighbourhoods are a different job. Port Credit, Lakeview, Clarkson and Lorne Park mix narrow single-width driveways, long private drives under mature trees and side yards with little room to stack snow.

Townhouse complexes in Meadowvale, Lisgar and East Credit add shared private roads, visitor parking and short driveways a full-size plow cannot work efficiently, and on every street the municipal plow leaves a windrow across the driveway entrance.

South Mississauga, close to Lake Ontario, often gets wet, heavy snow and thaw-refreeze ice rather than dry powder, so ice treatment matters as much as clearing.

What residential service includes, and how Basic and Deluxe differ

A residential seasonal contract covers the surfaces below, with sidewalk frontage and salting listed as their own items in the proposal. Each clearing is logged with a time stamp, and large storms may require return visits.

Basic Snow Removal is snow removal only: service begins at 5 cm of accumulated snowfall, with target completion within 8 hours after qualifying snowfall ends, subject to contract conditions. It is intended for standard residential properties.

Deluxe Snow & Ice Removal includes snow clearing and salting, with a zero-centimetre advertised trigger, subject to a clearly defined service policy, and coverage for snow, freezing rain, ice and light snowfall events, subject to contract terms, which suits refreeze-prone lakefront walkways.

Lower triggers than 5 cm are available at a higher seasonal rate, and both packages include unlimited visits for qualifying snow events during the contract period.

  • Driveway and apron
  • Walkway to the front door
  • Windrow left by the municipal plow at the driveway entrance
  • Optional municipal sidewalk frontage
  • Optional salting, included with Deluxe

Commercial snow plowing in Mississauga, from plazas to Meadowvale Business Park

Plazas and medical offices along Dundas, Dixie and Hurontario need the lot, entrances and accessible spaces open before the first patient arrives, so each contract sets defined accumulation triggers and response windows for the site, with daytime passes during ongoing storms where the contract specifies them.

Industrial properties in Meadowvale Business Park and along the Dixie and Dundas corridors bring large lots, truck docks, fire routes that must stay open and stacking space that can run out mid-season. Contracts cover plowing, clearing and relocation of snow, with optional snow hauling once there is nowhere left to push it.

Office buildings near City Centre and multi-residential sites in Cooksville and along Hurontario get walkway, entrance, steps and ramp clearing, priority for accessible spaces and fire routes, and salting and ice management with product and quantity logged per application.

A certificate of insurance is included with every commercial agreement, and event logs carry time stamps and photos.

The season, the proposal and the postal codes we cover

Seasonal contracts run November 15 to April 15, so winter 2026–2027 coverage is November 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027. Seasonal contracts for this winter carry 10% off, applied in the written proposal, and are invoiced in monthly instalments.

A quote request is free and creates no obligation. The MapleCore team reviews the address and the surfaces you list, then sends a proposal setting out the trigger, response window, surfaces included, any sidewalk frontage, and salting as a separate line unless the package includes it.

Mississauga postal codes begin with L4T through L5W, and our routes are built around the west and central GTA. The postal-code checker on the homepage gives a first answer; the proposal confirms coverage for the exact address.

Requests sent before November 15 give the team time to review the property and place it on a route before the season opens.

Snow removal in Mississauga: common questions

Can I book a one-time clearing instead of a seasonal contract?

Per-visit requests are possible subject to availability. For the full winter, a seasonal contract runs November 15 to April 15, is invoiced in monthly instalments and carries 10% off for winter 2026–2027.

Do you clear the windrow the city plow leaves at the end of my driveway?

Yes. The windrow at the driveway entrance is part of the residential scope, along with the driveway, apron and walkway to the front door. Large storms may require return visits, and each clearing is logged with a time stamp.

Does the contract include the municipal sidewalk in front of my house?

Municipal sidewalk frontage is optional and listed as its own item in the proposal, so it can be added to Basic or Deluxe. The city publishes current winter maintenance guidance for property owners; the proposal states exactly which surfaces are included at your address.

How should I compare snow removal companies in Mississauga?

Ask for the trigger in centimetres, the response window, the surfaces included, whether salting is a separate line and how visits are logged. For a commercial site, ask whether a certificate of insurance comes with the agreement. MapleCore puts all of this in the written proposal.

Can one agreement cover several Mississauga properties?

Yes. Multi-property contracts run with consolidated or per-site invoicing, and each site keeps its own triggers, response windows and event log. Dispatch for every site is based on monitored weather data reviewed by the operations team.
